Providence Lacey Primary Care Clinic

Providence Medical Group and Pac Med are two primary care organizations that recently merged. This facility was designed to operationally integrate these two entities providing improved medical access to an underserved community. The setting is an existing chemical dependency inpatient facility that was repurposed to provide primary care and outpatient imaging services. It is a combination of existing reconfigured space and an expansion for a new entry lobby and registration area. The design process included several group design events working with stakeholders and front-line staff from both organizations to define a new operational and teaming model. The building expansion required the removal of several large Douglas Fir trees that were reincorporated as structural supports into the building expansion.
